Installing of carpet tiles
|
Subfloors
The subfloor must be flat, level, dry, sound, clean, free from debris and have an effective damp-proof membrane.
Installation
- Use the same batch number for each continuous area.
- All carpet tiles should be removed from their cartons and allowed to acclimatise at a minimum of 12°C and 65% air relative humidity for 24 hours prior to the installation commencing.
- Tecsom tiles can sometimes be loose laid; in large areas
1 row every 12 m must be fixed (with adhesive or tackifier).
- If the subfloor is slippery (marble, raised access flooring in metal or in wood) or is to receive heavy traffic or castor chairs are in use, apply a recommended Tackifier to the total area of the subfloor to be installed.
- Tecsom Tiles are laid in the same direction to obtain a broadloom effect.
- Prior to commencing installing the tiles, draw 2 perpendicular lines (not directly against a wall).
- Tecsom Tiles always must be installed tightly together.
